Membership

Becoming a member of Wickland Baptist Church means that you have trusted in Christ as you Lord and Savior, agree with the essential beliefs of the church, are committing to serve alongside the other members of WBC to further Christ's kingdom and to help each other grow in grace, and are submitting to the accountability of this body under God's Word, in maintaining godly beliefs and practices (see church covenant).

You can become a member in 3 ways:

By putting your faith in Jesus Christ and being baptized. (For those who are NOT followers of Jesus.)
By having a letter sent to WBC from another Southern Baptist Church stating that you are a member in good standing and that said church agrees to transfer your membership. (For those who are already members of another Southern Baptist church.)
By publicly declaring your faith in Jesus Christ and that you have been baptized, by immersion, after you were saved. (For those already saved, but not members of a Southern Baptist church).

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near. -Hebrews 10:23-25
